Founder and Chairman: John D'Ardis.
John D'Ardis is a veteran of the Media and Entertainment industry in Ireland. He started his career as a recording engineer with Eamonn Andrews Studio in the late 1960's and shortly afterwards founded the technically ground breaking Trend Studios in 1968. Over the years John has worked with a wide variety of artists ranging from Donovan and Leonard Cohen to The Dubliners and Thin Lizzy. (John engineered the very first Thin Lizzy record the extremely rare ‘The Farmer’ and also composed the B-side of the single.)
His interest in song writing led to him becoming a board member of the Performing Right Society in England (PRS) and to his later involvement in the setting up of The Irish Music Rights Society (IMRO) which succeeded the PRS as the broadcast music royalties collection organization for Ireland.
John graduated from UCD with a B.Comm and has steered the company course for over 40 years transforming it from a small recording studios to become the principal Irish owned supplier pre-recorded media in Ireland.
General Manager: John Dodson
John Dodson has been involved in high volume manufacturing for over 30 years. He has witnessed the evolution of magnetic and optical media from the old 8 inch floppy disks and half inch tape to the CD and DVD’s of today.
Educated at Carlow IT he received a full Technological Certificate in the City & Guilds of London Institutes Industrial Measurement & Control Technicians 275 Certificate.
He started his professional life as Maintenance Manager at Memorex Media Products manufacturing audio tapes and floppy disks and then took the next logical step in the supply chain when he started a small disk duplication operation called CopyDisk Ireland where he put information onto the aforementioned media. This was to be the springboard for a much larger green field start up called Kao Infosystems, where the first Irish CD plant was to be installed. Kao was later acquired by Zomax Inc. and shortly afterwards John moved to another CD / Turnkey manufacturer, MPO as Quality & Security Manager before becoming Directror of Operations.
Ironically MPO and Zomax were to form a joint venture where he stayed on as Technology Director until their closure in mid 2007.
He then started his own company offering Engineering, Productivity and Quality solutions to the manufacturing sector where Trend became one of his clients. The rest as they say is history!

Mandy’s wide experience of all aspects of the entertainment industry , ranging from artist recording and management, to the promotion of media events, mean she is ideally qualified to help Trend’s clients to successfully achieve their goals, no matter how demanding.
Mandy has a strong personal commitment to quality, dependability and value for money, key elements that have keep Trend at the top of the tree for four decades.
As the newly appointed Sales Director of Trend Studios she is determined to see this philosophy carried forward into a successful and exciting future.
At Trend Mandy has helped countless artists and record labels realize their dreams, she has also overseen many major projects for national newspapers, Government agencies and RTE.
